The daily 4-digit PIN guessing game on Frustrated.io shipped its biggest update. Here's what changed.
What's The PIN loads differently now. Every session opens on a permanent menu hub with six options — Daily PIN, Endless, Challenges, Achievements, Stats, Tips — replacing the floating intro modal that previously handled first-visit setup. The ATM on screen reads "What's The PIN" throughout rather than "Frustrated Bank." A Back to Menu button appears on the win and fail screens, so there is no longer any need to sit through a reload to return to the hub. Player names have been extended from 3-character initials to full names up to 12 characters — letters, numbers, and underscores accepted, with a profanity filter running on both ends.
Endless Mode is now live. The Normal variant runs a random 4-digit PIN each round with the same color-coded clue system as the daily puzzle — green for correct digit in the correct position, yellow for correct digit in the wrong position — unlimited attempts, infinite rounds. A Hard variant is on the menu with a Coming Soon badge: Mastermind-style hints only, no color feedback, unlimited attempts.
Fifteen achievements are tracked across sessions, several of them tied to a new daily timer that counts up from your first guess, persists across reloads, and freezes when you crack the code or run out of guesses. Standard unlocks cover streak length (Week-Long Streak), total cracks (Century at 100), and guess count — Mastermind for cracking in three guesses or fewer, Buzzer Beater for a tenth-attempt crack, Comeback Kid for the rest. The speed achievements are harder: Speed Demon requires cracking the daily PIN in under 60 seconds, Lightning in under 30, and Blink in under 15. Each unlock fires a toast that slides up from the bottom of the screen for four seconds.
The Stats view now toggles between Today's Crackers — a per-attempt breakdown for the last 24 hours — and All-Time Leaders, a top-100 board showing each player once with their best crack, total lifetime cracks, and the date they hit their best. Multi-crack entries are merged into one row per player so the board reflects who is actually good at this rather than who plays most often. What's The PIN is a free daily PIN guessing game in the same territory as PIN Cracker, number Wordle variants, and Mastermind-style 4-digit code games — but with a daily puzzle, an endless mode, a live timer, 15 achievements, and a persistent all-time leaderboard, all in a browser with no account required. The Blink achievement is available immediately.
