Dear member,

I'm writing this on a Tuesday, which I think is important to mention. Tuesdays at ScreamFlix are policy-review days. We're not supposed to send personal correspondence on Tuesdays. I'm doing it anyway.

When you decided to stay, my entire team got a notification. Eleven people. We have a Slack channel for moments like these. It's called #another-one-stayed-2026. I'm not joking. The channel was created twelve minutes ago. Someone has already added a custom emoji of your face. I don't know how they got your face.

I want you to know what this means for us, on a human level. This quarter has been hard. We're down 4% on retention against target. The all-hands on Friday was, candidly, brutal. Devanshi cried during the breakout sessions. Kayleigh said something passive-aggressive about "personal accountability" and looked directly at me for 11 seconds.
